Directions

  1. Season & Sear the Seafood: Pat salmon fillets and shrimp dry. Rub both generously with Cajun seasoning, and season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down first for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through and golden. Remove from skillet and set aside. Add shrimp to the same skillet and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and slightly crispy.
  2. Sauté Garlic in Butter: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. This step infuses the sauce with that irresistible buttery garlic aroma.
  3. Make the Cream Sauce: Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. The sauce should be rich, smooth, and perfectly garlicky.
  4. Return Seafood to Sauce: Nestle salmon fillets and shrimp back into the skillet. Spoon the cream sauce over the seafood and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes to heat through and let the flavors meld.
  5. Plate & Garnish: Serve the salmon and shrimp over mashed potatoes or your favorite sides. Spoon extra garlic cream sauce on top and finish with fresh chopped parsley for color and freshness. Serve immediately for a restaurant-quality dinner at home.
