Directions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish.
  2. Layer the casserole: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Add meatballs: Place meatballs evenly over the sauce. If using cooked pasta, layer it in before the meatballs.
  4. Add sauce and seasoning: Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the meatballs. Sprinkle with Italian herbs, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Add cheese: Generously top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25–30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
