Ingredients
For the Sadza/Pap
- 2 cups (250 g) maize meal or cornmeal
- 4 cups (1 L) water
- Pinch of salt
For the Fried Fish
- 1 lb (450 g) whole fish or fillets (tilapia, bream, or preferred fish)
- ½ cup (60 g) all-purpose flour or cornmeal for coating
- 1 tsp (2 g) paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp (45 ml) vegetable oil for frying
For the Tomato Soup
- 3 medium tomatoes (450 g), chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped (100 g)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil
- 1 tsp (5 ml) tomato paste (optional)
- 1 cup (240 ml) water or vegetable broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Vegetables
- 1 cup (150 g) chopped cabbage, spinach, or kale
- 1 small carrot, sliced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
